Set yourself a goal

Set a goal and we'll show you the way!

Even the longest journey starts with the first step.
If you start training with us, you will need to answer a few questions.

1. Which distance?

Before you decide which distance you choose, first you must make your own fitness assessment. If you have just decided to get up from the couch and start triathlon, we recommend a shorter distance, which is within reach of even a beginner amateur. Please also do medical tests to make sure that you have no contraindications for endurance sports. Remember that your health is the most important. The longer distance you choose, the more time you will need to prepare.

If you have racing experience or experience in one of the disciplines occurring in the triathlon and you are looking for bigger challenges for yourself, you can start at a longer distance than the Olympic distance.

The most popular distances in triathlon are:
Sprint distance: 0.75 km swimming, 20 km cycling, 5 km running
Olympic distance: 1.5 km swimming, 40 km cycling, 10 km running
Middle distance: 1.9km of swimming, 90km of cycling, 21.1km of running
Full distance: 3.8 km swimming, 180 km cycling, 42.2 km running
UltraTriathlon: distances above the full distance

If you have already chosen the distance you want to face, it’s time to find the right competition in which you will take part. If you are a beginner triathlete, it is best if you choose a competition organized close to your place of residence. Thanks to this, you will reduce the costs associated with transport, accommodation and reduce the stress associated with the trip. First, check when you can register and if there are any vacancies. Do not wait until the last minute to pay the entry fee. Also, remember that you need a certain amount of time to prepare. So choose a race with a distant date. An important aspect is also checking what the route on which you will race looks like. Check if you accidentally sign up for a competition with a high degree of difficulty due to the number of altitudes on the cycling and running route.

If you want to participate in the most prestigious competitions organized under the Ironman brand, remember that you must register for such competitions well in advance. Even half a year before the date of the event. These competitions are very crowded, and the places are spread out in the first months from the moment the organizer starts the registration.

You can find a list of all races under the IRONMAN® brand at:

If you decide to start in a different corner of the world than around your place of residence, we will guide you taking into account the time needed for the journey and the acclimatization needed when changing the time zone and climate. You will receive all the tips from us after you choose the place of your dream race.

2. When is the race?

3. How much time do you have?

When you decide to start a triathlon, you must reconcile professional duties and family life with the time spent on training.
Regardless of which package you choose, individual training plans are spread over 6 days a week, the most optimal solution. Day 7 is always a day off for your recovery – you decide which day of the week it will be.

Basic package: 6 workouts (1 workout per day).
Intermediate package: 9 workouts (3 days – 1 workout a day, 3 days – 2 workouts a day).
Advanced package: 12 workouts (6 days – 2 workouts a day).

Each plan is adjusted individually to the athlete level of training and the selected number of training sessions. This approach works perfectly regardless of whether we deal with a beginner or a triathlete fighting for a place on the podium.

Motivation is an inseparable element of any sports activity, contributing to making an effort during training and achieving sports goals. Triathlon is an individual discipline, and everything will depend on your commitment and reliability in performing exercises during individual training sessions. We guarantee you the best and proven training methods, but you must remember that not a week, but only regular, many months of work will bring the desired results.

We know from experience that athletes who use our plans, having a predefined schedule for each week, can better organize themselves and find the necessary time to reconcile preparations with professional duties and private life. After a few weeks, you will get into the right rhythm and enjoy training, and your progress will give you even more motivation to continue your triathlon adventure.

Many people who decided to start triathlon were inspired by the videos showing terribly tired competitors who, with tears in their eyes and joy on their faces, while passing the finish line and hearing the words – “You are an Ironman”.
